It was a good run, but Lakeshore unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coldwater Cardinals.

Coldwater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Vanaken, who posted four points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those eight boards gave Vanaken a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Porter, who had 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Lakeshore's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Coldwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Lakeshore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coldwater, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Coldwater Cardinals take on DeWitt Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with DeWitt sitting on 22 straight victories and Coldwater on five.
