The Jones Eagles will take on the Neuqua Valley Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Jones and Lindblom had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Jones blew past Lindblom 17-4 on Wednesday. Jones has beaten Lindblom the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Lindblom has come to flipping the script.

Antonio Macedo was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Neuqua Valley and DeKalb, and DeKalb kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats fell 4-1 to the Barbs on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.
Neuqua Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Repmann, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Jones' victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Neuqua Valley, they dropped their record down to 10-12-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Jones' speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Neuqua Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jones continue to outrun the ball?
Jones might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Neuqua Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
