The Castleberry Lions''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They breezed by Carter-Riverside on the road to the tune of 62-20. For Castleberry, this counts as revenge for the 32-26 loss Carter-Riverside walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castleberry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cayden Perez, who rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns. Isaiah Ford also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
When it comes to explaining why Carter-Riverside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jameer Muhammad. Despite the final result, he rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. Muhammad was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
Castleberry's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Carter-Riverside, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Castleberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carter-Riverside also has no future games currently scheduled.
