Melbourne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alison Hayes out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hayes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cecelia Nardone, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and five assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Melbourne and bumps their season record up to 8-12. As for West Shore, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Melbourne on the road again on Thursday and play against Winter Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Winter Park will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. West Shore will take on Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
