Meanwhile, Talihina's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Heavener by a score of 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Talihina has suffered since December 14, 2023.
Despite their loss, Talihina saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Grayson Crouch, who scored seven points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Lloyd, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Wilburton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Talihina, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
