The Lexington Minutemen will head out on the road to face off against the Forsyth Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Lexington didn't have too much trouble with Wellington-Napoleon on the road as they won 73-58. Given Lexington's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Wellington-Napoleon is ranked 469th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Forsyth had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-49 victory over Waynesville. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Forsyth has scored all year.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lexington and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Forsyth, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
