Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Niles West). They put the hurt on the Maine West Warriors with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Warriors last Monday, they had to take a 11-8 loss.

Teddy Schroeder tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Niles West let Lucas Som and Christian Guzman run wild. Som scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while Guzman scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those two hits gave Som a new career-high. Andrew Lim was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Niles West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Niles West's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Maine West, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
