Scottsboro is 2-8 against Buckhorn since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Wildcats will challenge the Bucks at 4:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Meanwhile, Buckhorn's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Coffee County Central  a   7-0 shutout.
Buckhorn got a great performance from  Chloe Helton as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over five innings pitched. What's more,  Helton posted five  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in March of 2024.
 At the plate,  Katie Hastings was a standout: she scored two  runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Andre-Ana Davis was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Buckhorn  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coffee County Central only managed one  hit.
 Buckhorn has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Scottsboro, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Scottsboro might still be hurting after the  12-2 loss they got from Buckhorn  in their previous meeting  back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
