It was a good run, but the Veterans Warhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 99-91 to Warner Robins. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (80), Veterans still had to take the loss.
Veterans lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chandler Thomas, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Thomas hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio ??tone?? scott, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Veterans' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Warner Robins, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veterans and Lee County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lee County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Veterans in Georgia (Lee County is ranked 16th, while Veterans is ranked 117th). As for Warner Robins, they will play host again and welcome Dutchtown, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
