Basketball Recap: Milton Beats Niceville for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Milton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 victory over the Niceville Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-47 back in December of 2024.

Milton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ra'Shaun Elzy, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Elzy a new career-high in rebounds. Treymar Jones was another key player, going 7 of 17 on his way to 18 points and eight boards.

Niceville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anwar Conley, who posted 11 points. Noah Carter also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

Milton's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Niceville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-8.

Milton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-35 victory against Unicoi County on the 17th. Niceville has also already played their next contest, a 72-38 win against Rocky Bayou Christian on the 16th.
