Bogota moved up to 207 from 274 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in North Jersey - Patriot. The Buccaneers were able to make the jump by beating Park Ridge 37-13.
Bogota was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to third in the league. The Buccaneers vanquished the Owls 37-13 earlier in the week.
Gordon Kohles and Edwin Fiscal gave Bogota a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Kohles threw for 12 yards and two touchdowns, while Fiscal ran for 217 yards. Kohles also contributed to the rushing game with 99 yards on the ground.
Dante Cieri was the best wideout in the league this week as Weehawken lost to Palisades Park/Leonia. Cieri racked up two receptions for 12 yards. Damian Corredor helped Weehawken's passing attack out by catching two balls for nine yards.
On the ground, the Buccaneers' Fiscal has rushed for 469 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jason Zajaczkowski. The Wallington star has three catches for 150 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on Bogota. Weehawken is currently in second, while the Buccaneers are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when the Indians and Bogota face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Weehawken comes in having scored 107 this season, while the Buccaneers have scored 79. The Indians scored 7 points last week as they fell to the Tigers.
