The West Florence Knights suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Wilson 74-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Florence has scored all season.
Wilson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Leonard out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Leonard is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Thompson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
West Florence bumped their record down to 5-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wilson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
West Florence will face off against Johnsonville at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Johnsonville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Wilson, they will take on Lancaster at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Lancaster is ranked 22nd, while Wilson is ranked 15th).
