Bloomingdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marc Brown led the charge by scoring 20 points along with eight assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Caleb McClung, who scored 19 points.
Parkersburg Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Meadows, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The contest was Meadows' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Gavin Johnson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Bloomingdale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Parkersburg Christian, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-5 record last season and are now at 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomingdale will stay at home for another game and welcome Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Calvary Baptist Academy is ranked 69th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 75th). Parkersburg Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
