The Cy-Fair Bobcats will square off against the Lamar Texans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cy-Fair took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Northbrook 52-3. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Sean Riegler
| 11/06/25 vs Northbrook | 170.1 |
| 09/06/25 @ Cypress Park | 155.4 |
| 10/03/25 vs Jersey Village | 144.8 |
| 10/18/25 @ Stratford | 136.5 |
| 08/29/25 @ Klein Cain | 132.1 |
Cy-Fair can attribute much of their success to Sean Riegler, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, and Arnell Fontenot, who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. The dominant performance also gave Riegler a new career-high in passer rating (170.1). Henry Lamar Brooks Jr was another key player, picking up 122 receiving yards and one score.
Cy-Fair's run defense was locked in: Northbrook could only muster two yards per carry. The Bobcats' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.66 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.2 on average over their last five games.
Meanwhile, Lamar never let their opponents score on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 69-0 victory over Houston Math Science & Tech. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Texans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 448th, while the Tigers are ranked 1206th).
A big part of Lamar's win came down to the chemistry between Jayden Robins and his top target Cade Mansour. Robins threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes while Mansour threw for 101 yards and three TDs. Robins' passing game has become a key predictor of Lamar's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kaze Bryant, who rushed for 61 yards and one score.
Cy-Fair's record now sits at 7-3. As for Lamar, their record is now an identical 7-3.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Cy-Fair has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 280.7 passing yards per game. Lamar, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 207.7 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Cy-Fair came up short against Lamar in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 23-19. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
