The Hamilton Heights Huskies will face off against the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Hamilton Heights and West Lafayette have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Huskies took a hard 24-8 fall against the Red Devils. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite their defeat, Hamilton Heights saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. AJ Flanagan, who rushed for 75 yards and one score, and also picked up 30 receiving yards, was perhaps the best of all. The Huskies also got help from Cameron Fleming, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Guerin Catholic). They blew past Lafayette Central Catholic 59-28 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Knights are ranked 239th).
Hamilton Heights better keep an eye on Jack Linden. He was instrumental in Guerin Catholic's win, rushing for 165 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 50 receiving yards. Linden's longest rush was for an incredible 97 yards. Another passer making a difference was Quentin Klee, who threw for 281 yards and three TDs while completing 74.1% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Guerin Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Guerin Catholic now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hamilton Heights, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Hamilton Heights ended up a good deal behind Guerin Catholic in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, losing 44-27. Thankfully for the Huskies, Malcolm Houze (who rushed for 62 yards and three scores, and also threw for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75.8% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
