The South View Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against St. Pauls as South View made off with a 66-46 win. The score was close at the half, but South View pulled away in the second half with 33 points.
South View got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Unity Youngblood out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Nahmiah Aekins was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
South View's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for St. Pauls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
South View will head out on the road to face off against Douglas Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas Byrd will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 459th, while South View is ranked 193rd). As for St. Pauls, they will look to defend their home court on January 12th against Red Springs at 6:00 p.m.
