Toronto is 0-5 against East Palestine since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Toronto Red Knights will head out on the road to square off against the East Palestine Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Toronto's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 58-41 to Trinity Christian. While losing is never fun, Toronto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 680th in Ohio, while Trinity Christian is ranked 51st in West Virginia).
Despite the defeat, Toronto got a solid performance out of Ashton Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games she's played. Michelle Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, East Palestine's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 58-10 loss at the hands of United. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Palestine has scored all season.

Toronto couldn't quite finish off East Palestine in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 48-45. Can Toronto avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
