The Jupiter Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Boca Raton Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jupiter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 273 points over their last seven contests.
Last Friday, Jupiter beat South Fork 34-24. Given Jupiter's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 117th, while South Fork is ranked 300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jupiter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Douglas, who threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jai Morgan, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Jupiter's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, David ?d-tre? Runner was the leader with two sacks.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Boca Raton were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. The match between Boca Raton and Westwood wasn't particularly close, with Boca Raton falling 26-7.
Jupiter has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.8 points per game. As for Boca Raton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
Jupiter was taken down by Boca Raton 34-7 in their previous matchup back in August of 2017. Will Jupiter have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
