After flying high against South Davidson  last Monday, North Rowan came back down to earth. The North Rowan Cavaliers took  a  43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Davidson Spartans on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the  51-50 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in December of 2023.
 North Rowan lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Dasia Elder, who  posted seven  points. Another player making a difference was  Allanah McAuthur, who  scored seven  points.
 Central Davidson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Aubrey Garrison, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and nine  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Raegan McCarn, who  put up nine points.
North Rowan's loss  ended  an  11-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 1-2. As for Central Davidson,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-4.
 North Rowan will take on East Davidson in a holiday battle at 6:00  p.m.  on December 20th at. As for Central Davidson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  39-33  win against Randleman on the 12th.
