Burncoat is 0-10 against North since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Burncoat Patriots' road trip will continue as they head out to face the North Polar Bears at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Burncoat beat St. Paul 64-57. Given Burncoat's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while St. Paul is ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burncoat to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jean Carlos Pimental, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyton Marshall, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, North put another one in the bag on Sunday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Malden Catholic 66-51.
Burncoat's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for North, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.
Burncoat was taken down by North 69-41 in their previous matchup last Friday. Can Burncoat avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
