Trinity is 0-9 against Randleman since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Trinity Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Randleman Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Trinity didn't have too much trouble with Wheatmore on the road as they won 27-12.
Trinity can attribute much of their success to Dominic Payne, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Payne was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. Brandon Campbell was in the mix too, providing Trinity with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Randleman put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They didn't even let Southwestern Randolph onto the board and left with a 24-0 win. The result was nothing new for Randleman, who have now won six contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Randleman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyshaun Goldston, who picked up 145 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Edison Hernandez, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown.
Trinity's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Randleman, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0.
Trinity was dealt a bruising 70-0 loss at the hands of Randleman in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Trinity have more luck at home instead of on the road?
