Heritage Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against Ridgeline Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Heroes will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Heritage Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.2 runs per game this season.
Heritage Academy had been on a seven-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Heritage Academy put an end to it on Wednesday. Heritage Academy came up short against Heritage Academy, falling 9-2. The loss was Heritage Academy's first of the season.
Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum Meeker, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeline Academy). Everything went their way against Imagine Prep Coolidge on Wednesday as they made off with a 23-7 victory. Ridgeline Academy hasn't had any issues with Imagine Prep Coolidge recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Maddie Martinez was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Hepting, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Ridgeline Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.
Having lost for the first time this season, Heritage Academy fell to 11-1. As for Ridgeline Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Heritage Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Ridgeline Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Heritage Academy's way against Ridgeline Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Heritage Academy made off with a 19-3 win. Will the Heroes repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
