Christian Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against South Central on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Rebels. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost eight in a row.
Nathan Tucker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clarksville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Rock Creek Academy 14-4 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Generals considering their one-run performance the game before.
Jayden Arnold made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Arnold was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Deacon, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ryder Branham also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Clarksville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Clarksville, they moved to 2-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Clarksville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-4. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
