The Grove Christian School Falcons lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 53-21 defeat at the hands of Richmond Christian. Grove Christian School has struggled against Richmond Christian recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Grove Christian School saw an underclassman step up: Sidney Fisher scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Fisher hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games.
Grove Christian School now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Richmond Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove Christian School will take on The New Community School at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The New Community School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Richmond Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
