The Overton Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Ore City for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-29 win at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Overton.
Kayla Nobles was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Emery, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Overton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Ore City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Overton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Maud at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Ore City, they will head out on the road to face off against Big Sandy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
