Avalon extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-2. They claimed a resounding 58-12 victory over the Southlands Christian Eagles. Considering the Lancers have won five games by more than 28 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Southlands Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-1. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 13.89 points allowed.

Despite the loss, Southlands Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alex Gonzalez picked up 103 receiving yards and one score.

Avalon has already played their next contest, a 45-14 win against Thacher on the 7th. As for Southlands Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 32-28 defeat against Polytechnic on the 8th.
