The Ridgeview Wolf Pack were the 72-69 winner over the Garces Memorial Rams when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Ridgeview fell to Garces Memorial 56-50. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while Garces Memorial is ranked 287th).
Ridgeview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jovarie Hayden, who scored 14 points. Jameson Powell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Garces Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Ridgeview will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Monache at 6:30 p.m. Monache is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Garces Memorial, they will square off against Stockdale at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
