Volleyball Recap: Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Comes Up Short

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Laconia Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Despite the loss, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Jaden Schmidt, who had ten digs and one assist. Schmidt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Laconia, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Oshkosh North on the 4th. As for Laconia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Green Bay East on the 4th.
