Kennett dropped their record down to 5-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sanborn Regional Indians. The Eagles were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
As for Sanborn Regional, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games.
For Sanborn Regional's part,  Megan Flaherty and  Phoebe Hood made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Flaherty   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Hood   didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. At bat,  Flaherty  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI, while  Hood  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  run.
