Having just played yesterday, the Haines City Hornets will jump right back in to play the Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Haines City suffered a tough 67-44 loss at the hands of Viera. While losing is never fun, Haines City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while Viera is ranked 144th).
Despite the defeat, Haines City got a solid performance out of Jorge Ramirez, who scored 24 points. The match was Ramirez's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Jacob Patterson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bayshore Christian was the victim of a rough 69-44 defeat at the hands of Plant City on Wednesday. Bayshore Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Haines City's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bayshore Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Haines City against Bayshore Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 66-33 win. Does Haines City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bayshore Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
