Basketball Game Preview: Central Noble Cougars vs. Wawasee Warriors

The Central Noble Cougars and the Wawasee Warriors will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central Noble is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Last Friday, Central Noble took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-18 win over West Noble. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Central Noble's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kierra Bolen, who posted 15 points. That's the most points Bolen has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Swank, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Wawasee played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Warsaw and fell 73-41. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-20.

Central Noble will need focus on slowing down Ava Couture, one of several Wawasee players who made an impact when they last played. She earned 11 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Hackleman, who put up 13 points.

Central Noble's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.5 points. As for Wawasee, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
