Basketball Recap: St. David Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

St. David extended their road winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Emma Hart. The St. David Tigers claimed a resounding 56-25 win over the Valley Union Blue Devils thanks in part to Hart, who went 6 for 14 en route to 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Myya Deneweth, who posted five points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Valley Union's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Boss, who had 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Giovanna Curiel, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

St. David has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Valley Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

St. David didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-29 loss against Mogollon on the 30th. Valley Union has also already played their next game, a 38-25 victory against Patagonia on the 30th.
