There's no place like home for the Elmwood-Murdock Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Palmyra on Thursday as Elmwood-Murdock made off with a 53-32 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Elmwood-Murdock has posted against Palmyra since January 25, 2018.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Erhart, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Draven Priel, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Elmwood-Murdock's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Palmyra, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elmwood-Murdock will take on Mead at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmyra, they will head out on the road to take on Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Auburn will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
