Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warsaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke Winchester, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Winchester is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 47% in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bricker, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, McCutcheon beat Fort Wayne Snider 45-41 on Saturday. Given the Mavericks' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Panthers are ranked 47th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
McCutcheon's win came from a few key players Warsaw will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Graves, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2024. Rylea Wetz was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 12 points.
McCutcheon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
McCutcheon's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Warsaw, their win bumped their record up to 24-1.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's contest: Warsaw has been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 41.7% of their threes per game. It's a different story for McCutcheon, though, as they've only made 23.5% of their three-pointers this season. Given Warsaw's sizable advantage in that area, McCutcheon will need to find a way to close that gap. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
