The Upsala Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Braham Bombers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Upsala focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
Upsala put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Swanville 79-44 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Upsala.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Upsala to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dakota Soltis, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Soltis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Brenna Graves was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Braham had to suffer through a rough 81-39 loss at the hands of Mountain Iron-Buhl. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Braham in their matchups with Mountain Iron-Buhl: they've now lost five in a row.
Upsala is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Braham, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.
Upsala didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Braham in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. Will Upsala repeat their success, or does Braham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
