They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the University Hawks. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four contests in a row.
Sports & Medical Sciences Academy took University into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 15-10.
Analiah Rivera paced Sports & Medical Sciences Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rivera got some help from Lucynda Martir and her 32 assists. Martir and Rivera didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with six apiece.
