The Creekside Christian Academy Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Konos Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-42 victory on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Creekside Christian Academy as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Creekside Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Javon Gardner, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gardner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Reddick, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Despite the loss, Konos Academy still got an impressive performance from Joshua Knapp, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Howie Turner, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Creekside Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8. As for Konos Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.
Creekside Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Creekside Christian Academy is ranked 98th). As for Konos Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Trinity Christian School of Griffin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
