Greenwood is 8-2 against Fort Stockton since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Greenwood Rangers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fort Stockton Panthers at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Greenwood's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Fort Stockton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
Greenwood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 98-53 win over Pecos at home. That 45 points margin sets a new team best for Greenwood this season.
Tatum Pierce continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Presley, who scored 15 points.
Fort Stockton suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 last Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 64-39 walloping at the hands of Seminole. While losing is never fun, Fort Stockton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1256th, while Seminole is ranked 352nd).
Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Fort Stockton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
