Eastern waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Tri-Central Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Mackenzea Causey was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emillia Andrews, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Eastern hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.

Eastern now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Tri-Central, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Eastern will square off against Wabash at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Tri-Central, they will head out to face off against Frankton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
