The Clearview Clippers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 86-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brookside. Even though they lost, Clearview's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 54.7 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Clearview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Cruz, who scored 20 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cruz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jai Walton, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Clearview bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Brookside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearview has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Black River at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Black River comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Brookside will be home for the holidays to greet Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
