2A Olympic recap October 8, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Olympic this week, Kingston beat North Mason 31-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Buccaneers.
Klahowya and Port Angeles played the most contested game in the league this week, with Klahowya eventually emerging with a 18-14 victory. Konner Langholff threw for 60 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 47 yards during the win.
Jonathan Harris provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Eagles defeated the Roughriders. Harris' key target this week was James Charoenmak, who caught 4 passes for 41 yards.
Langholff and Latrell Simpson gave Klahowya a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Harris also contributed to the rushing game with 114 yards on the ground.
Sequim's Miguel Moroles and Brett Wright have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Moroles has thrown for 720 yards this season, while Wright has 23 catches for 327 yards. Tommy Marsh from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 479 yards.
A big matchup in 2A Olympic this week will be when North Mason takes on North Kitsap. Jeff Bevers' team is currently in first, while the Vikings are in fourth.
North Kitsap led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Bremerton.
