It was a good run, but the Leipsic Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were outmatched by Crestview at home and fell 58-22. Leipsic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.
Crestview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cali Gregory, who scored 12 points. The contest was Gregory's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Kline, who scored 11 points along with 6 assists.
Leipsic's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Crestview, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leipsic will take on Arcadia at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arcadia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leipsic in Ohio (Arcadia is ranked 105th, while Leipsic is ranked 257th). Crestview will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against St. John's at 1:15 p.m. on December 9th. St. John's comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
