Nash Wray Dazzles in Haven Victory
Starting off the list is Haven's Nash Wray, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Wray rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
The win (which was Haven's third in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Wray and Haven will be playing at home against Cimarron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pratt Gets a Boost from Wilson in 28-26 Loss
Taye Wilson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his seventh-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 12 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles.
On the year, Wilson has run in 17 touchdowns while averaging 135.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 48.5 rushing yards per game.

Halstead was led to victory by Joey Millspaugh, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Millspaugh rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Halstead's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).
For the season, Millspaugh has averaged 17.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 29.63 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 88.63 rushing yards.

Gavin Stambaugh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Smoky Valley over Hillsboro
While Gavin Stambaugh delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Smoky Valley. Stambaugh turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending a pass.
Stambaugh must have Hillsboro's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Stambaugh rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Breeson Bigley Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Halstead got the W thanks in part to Breeson Bigley playing the best football he has all season. Bigley rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the season, Bigley has averaged 24.2 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he was only averaging 0.8 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 32.2 rushing yards.
