The Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They really took it to Bethel Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-21 victory on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-5.
Leading Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy to victory were Lily Denson and Arianna Ritz. Denson scored 16 points along with five steals, while Ritz scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Denson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Perpetua Norton, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Bethel Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Veritas Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Bethel Christian Academy will host Veritas Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
