Blue Valley was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Veritas Christian. The Rams came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Blue Valley extended the longest winning streak in Twin Valley (8 Man) this week by beating the Eagles, 48-12. The win marks fourth in a row for the Matt Schreiber's team.
Tyler Jones made the biggest impact on defense this week as Axtell beat St. John's Military. The 5-foot-11 junior.
Dustin Rottinghaus threw for 178 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Brett Peters was the best running back in the league this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 149 yards as Linn defeated Caldwell. Nathan Schaefer also contributed to the rushing game with 58 yards on the ground.
The Falcons' Rottinghaus and Deters led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Rottinghaus has thrown for 723 yards this season, while Deters, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 14 catches for 284 yards. Peters from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 430 yards.
The most important game in Twin Valley (8 Man) this week will be the match up between B & B and the Eagles. Justin Coup's team enters the game ranked fourth in the state, while Axtell ranks 21st.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Falcons and Eric Detweiler's team face off next week.
Linn took down Lakeside 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Peters threw for 101 yards and ran for 149 yards in the win.
