The South Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Immanuel Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Immanuel will be up against a hot South team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Spartans' way against Rosamond on Saturday as they made off with a 20-2 victory. Considering the Spartans have won six contests by more than ten runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Sienna Lopez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, South got a massive performance out of London Terrance, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Terrance has posted since back in April of 2025. Gabriella Chavez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .595 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, while Immanuel put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Sierra. The Eagles blew past the Chieftains 11-0. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Chieftains: they've now won five in a row.
Addison Efird was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ellyann Thomas, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
South's record is now 6-2. As for Immanuel, their record now sits at 5-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. South has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Immanuel struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
