For Battle Mountain, this counts as revenge for the 20-19 defeat Regis Groff walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Leading Battle Mountain to victory were Ari Gill and Isabella Zastrow. Gill scored six points along with seven rebounds, while Zastrow scored six points along with five steals. Anna Glass was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Regis Groff had strong showings from Lapulou(Lala) Tongatua, who scored six points along with five rebounds, and Rubi Cabriales, who scored no points along with five rebounds.
The win got Battle Mountain back to even at 1-1. As for Regis Groff, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
