The sons of former NBA veteran Eddie House are making names for themselves this season in Arizona. Freshman guards
Kaden and
Kalek House are the leading scorers for
Desert Mountain (Scottsdale), which heads into the weekend with a 13-3 record.
Kaden leads the team in scoring at 25.7 points per game to go along with 7.9 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.8 assists. Kalek is adding 16.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.
Against Arcadia (Phoenix) on Dec. 3, Kaden put himself on the map early in his freshman campaign with his first career triple-double, finishing with 35 points, 12 steals and 10 assists in a 74-49 victory. The 6-foot-3 guard followed that with a season-high 46 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Willow Canyon (Surprise). He shot 12 of 22 from the field and 19 of 25 from the line in that contest.

Kalek has scored 20 or more points in six of his 14 games this season. His most impressive all-around performance came on Nov. 26 when he accounted for 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in a 76-73 loss to American Leadership Academy-Gilbert North. The 6-2 guard also put up 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 94-71 win over Mountain Pointe (Phoenix) on Dec. 29.
Eddie House played 717 games during his 11-year NBA career, averaging 7.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists as a reserve for most of his career. House started just 31 games during his career in the league and played 17.3 minutes per game. His best season came in 2005-06 when he averaged 9.8 points, 1.8 assists and 1.6 assists while playing in 81 games for the Phoenix Suns.
The NBA journeyman played for the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets, Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks. He won a NBA championship in 2008 with the Heat.
