They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Palisades kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Ardrey Kell's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 12-4 to Mooresville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since March 25, 2024.
Ardrey Kell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Janey Galek, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another was Reagan Martin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Palisades' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-12. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Ardrey Kell, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palisades hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Ardrey Kell struggles in that department as they've averaged .398. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
