After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elk Lake, Montrose was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Mountain View Eagles. The Meteors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Jocelyn Traver was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Traver was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Montrose got a massive performance out of Kyleise Kublo, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Kublo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Evans, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Montrose always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .725. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
